Do you know the working principle of the curbstone mold?

Curbstone molds are model structures used to manufacture precast cement curbstones. Curbstones, or road edge stones, are often made of granite or cement precast materials and are used to define road surface boundaries.

Curbstones are road facilities used to plan lanes, sidewalks, green belts and the boundaries of various road areas to ensure the safe passage of pedestrians and vehicles and to keep the road surface clean and tidy. Such facilities are made of long strips of precast cement components or stone. When producing precast concrete curbstones, curbstone molds are used. Their main function is to shape and make these concrete parts. Curbstone molds are mostly made of plastic through injection molding. For sheet metal steel mold molding, this technology involves injecting concrete into plastic or iron molds, and demolding after the cement solidifies to complete the shape of the product. In particular, curbstone plastic molds are manufactured through engineering polypropylene injection molding, and the material properties will affect the durability of the mold.

Before customizing the mold, the size of the mold needs to be designed according to the engineering design drawings. The length of the curb mold is generally between 50, 50-100cm. After Party A plans the size drawing, it will submit the details to us for production and manufacturing. The curb mold is used because PP plastic material is cost-effective. It is not only light in weight, but also easy for workers to produce and carry, and the price is much lower than other materials. In the process of product structure design, the curb mold should be more compact and convenient. If the structure allows, the corners of the mold part surface should be designed into arcs to prevent stress concentration from damaging the mold. It is also necessary to consider how to reduce the damage caused by rolling mating parts and impact parts in the application, otherwise it will affect the actual effect of the mold application.
